Getting a Place
It is always a good idea to visit any school which you intend to send your child to. As well as checking how well the school is performing, which can be done on the Internet, look at how well pupils are supported. Are children happy? Do you feel comfortable? Do you feel pressured? The chances are, whatever you feel will be very similar to your child’s experience at school.
How to apply
The Admissions Department at the Local Authority process all admissions. If your child is at another school, you should always make an appointment to see the headteacher in an attempt to resolve any issues prior to making a decision to move schools. It is a major decision which has a big impact on a child’s learning and well-being. If you decide that this is the best course of action, then ask your child’s current school to compete a transfer form. Once you have decided upon your chosen school, take the form to that school. They will complete their section of the transfer form. You should then send this to the council to be processed.
We do not currently have a nursery. This means our pupils come from a variety of Settings. Parents and carers are entitled to apply for whichever FS2 (Reception) place they wish regardless of which nursery they attended. This is made very clear in the Admissions Code for Doncaster. Applications should be made by 15th January. It is important to meet this deadline as all the applications received at this time will be processed before any later forms. Click on this forms link for further details and forms.

Don’t be afraid to specifically ask for an appointment with the headteacher
For September 2018 onwards, Reach4 Trustees would like consistent arrangements to operate across all our existing schools. We are therefore consulting on a Trust-wide policy on admissions for school year 2018/19. The following consultation document sets out our proposed approach: ADMISSIONS CONSULTATION DOCUMENT.
Our consultation will close on 31 January 2017. You can respond in three ways:
- On-line via www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SFPDRBG
- By writing to: Reach4 Admissions Consultation

- or by emailing email@example.com (please put ‘2018 Admissions’ in your subject title)
Thank you for your time in considering/responding to our consultation. We will review all responses with care and report back to our Trustees. Final arrangements for 2018/19 admissions will be published on this web-page in March 2017.
